Happy Holidays! Welcome to the time of year when the stores get busy, leaves are changing and downtown areas look more festive. Here are some ways to prep the guest room for anyone, anytime… especially during this holiday season! We are skipping the basics like warm, comfy linens, a place to store their clothes, easily accessible towels.

Good Morning

Even though your guests are on vacation they may want to have ample time to get ready for whatever fun festivities you have planned. Giving them an alarm clock allows them to be punctual for whatever itinerary you created, or lack thereof.

Make Breakfast Feel Like Home

Start off the day with just a little familiarity by getting your guest their favorite coffee or tea as well as a snack or two!

Welcome Gift

What is something that they can’t get anywhere else? Is it a beverage, a baked good from the farmers market, a candle, a eco-friendly lip balm that you love? Adding a note about how excited you are that they came to spend time with you is just the special touch, they didn’t know they needed.

The Wifi Password

I don’t recommend sending it to them before they arrive because *SeCuRiTy* , but definitely make it easy and sign them in upon their arrival.

Burn The Midnight Oil

I always add a book to their nightstand to read or to color (just tailor it to your guest) and a deck of cards just in case they are up late.

With all of these tips in mind, you will be prepared for any guest that ends up at your doorstep. I hope that all of your guests feel welcomed and loved this holiday season and any day of the year.
