In just a few short, increasingly hotter days I will be turning 24. 365 days after that, I will be 25 and that is just crazy to me. Just to give you a glimpse into what my life is like here are 3 adjectives that begin to describe it: secure, good and reliable.
So many people would love to know that they have a safe space to sleep, a dog to walk and train with and a fire pit to cuddle around, blanketed by smoke, scented with burnt marshmallows and illuminated by the stars.
It sounds amazing, doesn’t it? I am so appreciative to be in a place to call that my norm. It has taken stress, sweat and tears to get here and living with so many conveniences has its perks (and also, traffic)!
This was the life of my dreams and some things that I’ve experienced have changed my perspective.
I’ve been tossing the idea of what it means to be 23, 24 or 25? These numbers are only as significant as I make them. Hey, It’s just a number, right? Not only, is it my age and a way to help identify me on this part of my journey through life, it’s my lessons learned, new skills acquired, hobbies picked up and dropped and most importantly memories made. 24 is not my job worked, my Key Performance Indicators met, my miles walked with Bella (my dog) or the chess games that I lost to my boyfriend.
24 is what I make of it & I am going to make this year a great one!
How to Make the Most of Everyday:
Inviting people to share a meal, a conversation or even just a Shirley Temple.
I’m going to make the most of every single day by continuing to create, adding things that I enjoy to each day like a bright salad or an energizing pilates class. I also would like to learn new graphic design skills while deepening my love for science.
24 will be about gathering, sharing, strengthening, appreciating and enjoying.
